Each year, we enhance our courses, programs, and services to provide clear pathways and robust support to help you succeed. You’ll find classes offered in a variety of formats—in-person, online, and hybrid—to fit your schedule. Whether you prefer to study early in the morning, during the day, or in the evening, we offer credit, noncredit, and career education courses to meet your needs. We also continue to expand our weekend course offerings, with Saturday and Sunday classes currently available at our National City Higher Education Center and more weekend options coming to other campuses based on student demand.

Our SWC Cares program is designed to support your basic needs, offering assistance with food, transportation, textbooks, technology, and even emergency cash grants. With dozens of student clubs and organizations, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect, get involved, and explore your passions. And when it comes to navigating your academic journey, our counselors are ready to help you create a personalized plan to reach your transfer or career goals—starting with a counseling appointment today.

Planning to transfer? Thirty Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) are offered at Southwestern College and all are fully aligned with bachelor’s degree programs in the California State University (CSU) system We also offer bachelor’s degree pathway programs right on our Chula Vista campus in partnership with CSU San Marcos, San Diego State University, UC San Diego, National University, Point Loma Nazarene University and Arizona State University. By completing your lower-division coursework at Southwestern College, you can save thousands while building a strong foundation for your future.
